Are you planning your engagement in the near future? The Corona Virus is causing a lot of uncertainty at the moment but it will pass and life will go on. When the time comes you have a lot of venues to choose from depending on your budget.

Your own home.

Your home creates the best memories for your engagement shoot. You can turn your backyard into something special using simple props. This also applies to people living in apartments or in the country, you can utilise your space at minimal cost. Its not the place that matters, but the emotions and the special moments that erupt from it that make a difference.

The Beach

I love the water and the peaceful environment it creates. This is by every measure my favourite venue for an engagement. I have shot several engagements overlooking the water, in the water and on the sand. Its amazing what you can create in any given space. Perth has beautiful beaches right from North to South. Examples are:- ( In no priority order)

Pinnacles Beach, North Beach, Scabourogh Beach, Cottesloe Beach, Fremantle South Beach, Coogie Beach, Rockingham Beach, Point Peron Beach, Mandurah Foreshore and many others.

Kings Park

Right in the heart of the city of Perth lies this magnificent natural habitat. The Park presents numerous opportunities for engagement photos with the city as a back drop. What a way to celebrate your engagement than to grace the City’s most popular engagement spot.

Elizabeth Quay

Recently redeveloped, Elizabeth Quay is an amazing water front engagement venue. Like Kings Park, it overlooks the City and provides spectacular views for engagement photographs.

Crowley Bridge Boat House

This is a Perth Icon. It looks ordinary but trust me I changed my mind about the place when I shot a wedding there. You have to be at the place to understand. We had to wait for about an hour to get our turn.

Araluen Botanical Park.

The Park is open all year round for visits but is most popular in spring when the tulips flower. There are a number of options for photos all around the park as it is always kept in pristine condition.

Swann Valley

There are a number of wineries that provide perfect venues for engagements. What a better way to celebrate an engagement than have it in the vines. That is special. Examples are Caversham House, Sandalford Estates, Mulberry on the Swann and many others.

Masonmill Gardens

Nestled in Perth Hills, Mason Mill Gardens provides beautiful views for photographs of any occasion. It also provides facilities for scrumptious meals.

Conclusion

The above list is by no means  exhaustive. There are several beautiful venues waiting to be explored. Just use your imagination. You can use my personal experience to plan your dream engagement.

Good luck. Till next time.
